"I have been amazed at how much acupuncture has helped with migraines and low back pain. I never tried (and didn't really believe in) acupuncture but after being referred to Brian by other health professionals I went. The needles are tiny and almost painless - just an occasional little pinch sometimes when first put in. The immediate relief from low back pain was great and made me realize how much discomfort I had learned to live with. The most miraculous outcome of acupuncture was when I went in during a horrible migraine. Brian provided immediate relief from extreme nausea and relief from the entire migraine within one hour. I feel Brian is a caring individual and strives to perfect his knowledge in his field of acupuncture."

As an addendum to my testimonial, I have now been totally migraine free for several months. When what use to be the triggers for migraines occur I no longer get a migraine and am so thankful to be able to keep living a normal life. Fantastic!

"I am intrigued by Brian's gentle style of acupuncture. His needling skills are superior to many acupuncturists I have seen in the past."- G.L. L.Ac.
"I was amazed to find out that Brian had been practicing for only a year. His knowledge, confidence and skill are what I would expect out of a practitioner who has 10 years or more under their belt."- Chris F.

"Acupuncture and Oriental medicine were relatively new to me the first time I was treated by Brian Mears. My first experience was for upper back pain that seemed to coincide with nasty bouts of acid reflux. My symptoms had been increasing in intensity for about 4 weeks when he graciously offered a treatment. As I lay on my stomach awaiting the sting of his needles, Brian quelled my curiosity by explaining the mechanisms behind my treatment. I was shocked to learn that 5 needles had been placed without my awareness! Gradually, I began to feel a warm sensation, as if a hot pen was tracing several lines on my back. I was very much at ease listening to the background music and feeling the heat spread through my back to warm my core. The oriental concept rang true through Brian' explanation, and seemed to fit well with my notion of health as being a supreme balance of body, mind, and spirit. The first thing I noticed, reluctantly sitting up from the comfortable table, was that my back felt soft. I cannot describe this sensation better, other than to say that a tension was missing from that nagging spot that had always been there. It wasn't until three days later (after a particularly spicy, spicy tuna roll) that I remembered my reflux, and couldn't recall my last sensation of heartburn. Now, about a year later, my rare tangles with reflux are significantly attenuated with only the rare tune-up from Brian.
Since my initial visit, I have also had help from Brian with other illnesses. A recent trip to the tick-infested state of Pennsylvania sent me home with a lovely target rash, nasty fever, facial nerve paralysis, and the diagnosis of Lyme disease. I believe that both the acupuncture and Chinese herbal formula prescribed by Brian significantly decreased my fever, and aided in my complete recovery. My aching, gout-plagued toe was relieved with acupuncture, and I'll never forget the sensation of warmth pouring out of my foot. Brian has not only solidified the efficacy of acupuncture and Chinese medicine in my mind, but has unveiled yet another way to triangulate any medical problem I may face. Others, I hope, will also benefit from my experiences. I have been studying Osteopathic Medicine now for 4 years. Looking forward to my upcoming graduation, it's a comfort to know that I can refer patients to Brian not only for sole treatment, but for combined treatment of several ailments. I believe this will maximize treatment results for any patient with any complaint, while also playing a significant role in preventative health management. Brian is a gifted healer, and I look forward to a long relationship with his practice."

"I just wanted to take a moment to write and let you know how much I appreciated the series of treatment you gave me. If you remember correctly when I came in I was at my wits end with my lower back pain. I had heard good things about the Japanese clinic and your reputation, but I have to say, I am so grateful that I decided to experience your talents myself. I knew my pain was stubborn due to the slow-to-work treatments I had received five months ago, however; I was pleased to see that my pain had dissipated after only 3 consistent treatments with you. Not to mention the consistent care and professionalism I received every time I came into see you. I am happy to report that now I don't even notice my lower back anymore. I felt very comfortable in our care and would come back to you without any hesitation. Good luck in all of your future endeavors. I cannot thank you enough."
